Barbara has over 25 years of experience with teaching dance to various ages of students. She is passionate about her teaching, and has served as an instructor/choreographer for numerous studios spanning throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Barbara has trained extensively throughout Salem Ma with Gene Murray’s school of Ballet. She also completed a 3 year intensive teacher training program with the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston of which she is an active member. She has spent the last 25 years teaching dance classes for different ages in the disciplines of Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Creative Movement. She has outstanding work with children. Her classes emphasize coordination, develop fine and gross motor skills along with physical fitness. Because of Barbara’s creative ideas, love for children and dance and inspiring teaching style students of all ages Barbara decided that opening her own studio would be the next natural step. She also has extensive training in the fine tuning of elements in all levels of ballet for gymnasts.
Cara began dancing at the age of 4 where she trained at Dance Productions in Woburn, Ma. There she was trained in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop and tap. Cara also competed in many competitions and also received Overall Excellence Award from her studio. Cara continued dancing throughout college at Salem State University where she was on the board of the Repertory Dance Team and founder and captain of the Salem State Dance Team. Cara graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design and a minor in Dance. Cara continued her dance training after college and was on the Boston Cannons Dance Team for 4 years. Cara’s focus now is on the growth of her students and she brings excitement, passion and drive to each class!
Charlene began dancing at the age of 3 in Salem, New Hampshire at the Carlene Nazarian Dance Center where she continued her studies in Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern and Hip Hop Dance. She has competed in numerous dance competitions earning many awards and medals. She began assisting other teachers and from 2006 to 2009 choreographed for children of all ages. During her time at Salem State University she was a member of the Repertory Dance Team where she was secretary, choreographer, and dancer for three years. She was also the founder and captain of the Salem State Dance Team with her three best friends. After college Charlene was a member of the Boston Cannons Dance Team. Charlene brings a strong technical background, exceptional choreography and style, and an enthusiastic personality to the BMDC team.
Emily started her dance training at the age of two at a local Massachusetts studio. She continued her training as a competitive student at Kathy Medina’s Studio of Dance where she found a family, and a true passion for dance. During high school Emily was encouraged and pushed to reach her potential while dancing for Erica’s Dance Academy where she earned many awards in national competitions. Working to broaden her horizon, and improve her artistry Emily studied at a modern intensive at Columbia College Chicago. In addition, she has attended workshops across the country and internationally. After dancing for the RPI dance club throughout her college career Emily started teaching in the northern Massachusetts area. She shares her love of dance and the movement arts through teaching all ages and all styles, including Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, and Modern. Emily loves encouraging her dancers to learn the joy of dance, self-esteem, perseverance, and to work hard to achieve!
